Translating Kuwaiti Birth Certificates for Australian Purposes
Kuwaiti birth certificates are issued by the Civil Status Affairs Authority (Idarat al-Ahwal al-Madaniyya) under the Ministry of Interior. They are issued in Arabic and follow the standard Gulf civil registry format, with entries for the child's name, date and place of birth, parents' civil IDs and the issuing authority seal.
Kuwait uses a family registration system, and births are recorded in the Family Book (Daftar al-A'ila). Both individual birth certificates and Family Book extracts are used as birth evidence. Modern Kuwaiti documents are increasingly issued in digital format.
